Our excellent menu is based on pub classics with a modern twist, using local produce and suppliers where possible. All of our guests can enjoy their meals in a relaxed environment inside or enjoy our delightful beer garden where you can drink and dine surrounded by the Essex and Hertfordshire countryside. See a sample of our full menu below, this changes according to seasons and availability of produce, most of which is sourced locally.

Every Sunday we offer an la carte menu as well as our roasts 
 
Hertfordshire Lamb shank - 14.50  
British Lop pork belly - 12.50 
Free range turkey breast - 12.50 S 
Simmental topside of beef (medium only) - 12.50 
with Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, green beans, carrots & savoy cabbage 
 
Sunday sharing Roasts 
There is also the option to pre-order a 'family style' roast dinner for the whole table to share. A whole bird or a joint of meat brought for you to carve and serve at your table 
 
20oz Chateaubriand (best end of beef fillet) – for 2 - £60 
 
Slow roasted Hertfordshire lamb leg w/ for 4 - £75 
 
Paprika roasted free range chicken w/ chipolatas, - £50 
 
7 hour roasted British Lop Pork shoulder - £70 
 
These are all served with  
Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, green beans, carrots & savoy cabbage

We don’t do fast food we do good food!  
All of our food is proudly prepared fresh to order 
and therefore may take a little longer than at some establishments. 
This also means we can cater to most dietary requirements. 
 
Children's menu available, alternatively most of our dishes from our main menu are available half portion, half price – please ask for details 
 
Food provenance; 
We like to pride ourselves on sourcing locally where possible and encouraging others to do the same.  
 
Some of the producers and farms we use are,  
 
Bridget B’s, Sacombe Farm, Hertford. 
 
Our Eggs come from East End Farm, Roydon 
 
Our Sausages are made just for us by Jason & his team at The Churchgate Sausage Shop, Mayfields Farm. 
 
Amwell Farm supply our fruit and vegetables; Rolls and bread are baked at Mayfields Farm Bakery 
 
Our Fish is supplied by Stickleback in Potters bar and we only use substaniable fish and seafood sourced from our own shores.
